Required Documents for China Trademark Application

Filing a trademark in China requires specific documents. Foreign applicants have additional requirements compared to domestic applicants.

For All Applicants

  • Trademark specimen (clear, JPEG format recommended)
  • List of goods/services organized by Nice class
  • Applicant name, address, and nationality
  • Power of attorney (signed, notarized for foreign applicants)

For Foreign Applicants

  • Notarized power of attorney (original or certified copy)
  • Certificate of incorporation or business registration (certified copy)
  • Chinese translation of applicant name and address

Priority Claim (if applicable)

If claiming priority from an earlier filing in another country (within 6 months), provide a certified copy of the priority document with Chinese translation.

All documents in foreign languages must be accompanied by a Chinese translation. We handle all translations and document preparation as part of our service.
