Receiving a CNIPA trademark refusal is not the end. Review/appeal must be filed within 15 days. Common grounds for appeal: distinctiveness evidence, coexistence agreements with prior mark owners, and legal arguments against the examiner’s findings. Many refusals are successfully overturned on appeal.
